Coh&Co at Micromobility Conference

17.07.2023

Directors Paul and Mette were given the incredible opportunity to take the stage and represent our company, showcasing our urban mobility promise and sustainable practices. It was truly a proud moment for us, knowing that our hard work in designing, developing, and producing urban bicycles for everyday life was being recognized on such a prestigious platform.

Coh&Co is more than just a brand; it’s a lifestyle rooted in design and material technology. We believe in circularity, taking responsibility for our bikes’ entire lifecycle. During the conference, we highlighted our three core principles:

A – Dynamic Designs: We aim to inspire our customers to make cycling an integral part of their daily lives. Our bicycles are not just a means of transportation but an experience that brings joy and convenience.

B – Responsible Materials & Technologies: We prioritize choosing and developing materials that enable us to manufacture, service, refurbish, and reclaim our bikes sustainably. Our frames, forged from a carbon-fiber composite with unique geometries, ensure an exceptional riding experience.

C – Circular Business Model: At Coh&Co, we’re all about circularity. We have implemented a circular buy-back scheme called “Recapture,” which involves our valued customers in the reuse and recycling of their bikes. It’s our way of ensuring the entire lifecycle of our bikes is environmentally responsible.

Siggi - world's first folding bike made from recycled carbon

One highlight of the conference was the introduction of our newest member to the Coh&Co line-up – Siggi, the world’s first folding bike made from recycled carbon. The decision to fund its production through crowdfunding was strategic, as it allowed us to engage with our community and understand their needs better.

The commitment to sustainability is at the core of our business. Our frames are made of a unique recyclable epoxy resin system, combining carbon and basalt fibers. This approach not only reduces the environmental impact but also ensures our bikes can be recycled, refurbished, and reused for several lifecycles.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the conference was witnessing the enthusiasm and involvement of our existing community. Our dealers, in particular, were given the opportunity to pre-order and build engagement with their customer base, becoming the first ambassadors for our innovative products.

Crowdfunding played a crucial role in our market analysis. It allowed us to gauge interest and understand which options appealed the most. Combined with dealer involvement, we now have a better understanding of our product niche and can streamline our supply chain efficiently.

Reflecting on the conference, we can’t help but feel proud to be part of Coh&Co’s journey. The commitment to sustainability, innovative designs, and engagement with our community make us confident that we’re on the right path.

With every pedal we push, we are driving positive change for urban mobility. Coh&Co is not just about bicycles; it’s a movement towards creating better and more livable cities, one ride at a time.
